You may or may not know that in 1989, Red Deer was declared a nuclear weapons free zone - this was previously on welcome signs coming into Red Deer. The designation of it being a nuclear weapons free zone was somewhat a product of the Cold War as I understand it.

These days, the only place I know of in the city that any kind of signage still exists is at City Hall Park, close to where City Hall meets the Downtown branch of the library. Speaking of the library, this would make a good book bag, eh?

The other piece to this tote is the design overall - you may have seen them before, the plastic shopping bags (RIP) that bear the same design but instead say “THANK YOU THANK YOU (and so on) Have a Nice Day.

This bag is definitely a niche for Red Deerians, and a conversation starter for sure.
